Post subject:  Lifetime of 36hp PD

I am looking to buy a used 36hp PD and am curious to know how many hours these motors hold strong.. I know it depends alot on the operator and how well it is maintenanced, but on average what is expected? Appreciate any help..

Expect thousands of hrs if properly serviced, hundreds if it wasn't.

Sent from my Droid because I'm trying to be as cool as you someday.

I would have to guess that the lifetime of a motor with min. Maintenance would be approx. 800 hours

The motor will handle alot of abuse, a properly serviced outdrive is what I would concentrate on.
