Post throttle not ideal on 23 GTR with Mikuni
So after I got the mikuni, I never could get the throttle right. I took it to a guy who put a throttle that is compatible with both the carb and a handle with the right diameter, but I checked it and that setup was only opening the throttle halfway when it hit the tiller handle. I moved the throttle lever to the end of the handle and it has to go perpendicular to the tiller handle to open the throttle all the way. What is everyone else doing with their GTR mikuni setups? I'm thinking I might call GD and order a new throttle handle for my 6.5 go devil, if you know what I mean. I feel their lever throttle design would work because i can open it as wide as I need without hitting the tiller handle and I can just drill and bolt it like they do on the longtails. That way I can have my tiller handle control box at the end of the handle where it would be most useful. What do y'all think?

Sounds like you just need to adjust the setup you have now. Might possibly need the cable spacer to compensate for excess cable length. Either way, BoatDr will have it in stock.

forgot to mention....the RPM's pop as soon as i touch the throttle .... no slack in the line? It's just a really long pull to open the roundslide all the way up. Is there any way to increase the sensitivity on the 34 roundslides? I'd like less pull = more throttle.
