your main jet is to big i think or too small have to ask a mechanic

ran great when I had the 4000 kit installed by a mudbuddy performance center. that was in southcarolina to far for me to go back to. no change to jets, carb, entire setup no change

Then I'd say a clogged jet. Where are you located now? I'm willing to bet there's someone not too far away from you.

after looking at my carb manual I expected it had something to do with the accelerator area. I just don't know enough about it to be messing with it. would any briggs and stratton repair shop be able to whip this in shape or should I be carefull who I choose? and thanks for the tip 50hptiller I will try that tomorrow. If yousent me a private message I couldn't read it for some reason.

You could pull the whole carb apart in a few minutes. The tuning manual has the exploded view.

A briggs shop will not touch a mikuni carb- maybe a motorcycle shop. Don't let them change your float valve!!! (ask SP).

problem solved!!!! spring on white accelerator plunger came off. reinstalled spring-- runs like a top!!!! thanks again
