Hey guys new here. - have a mud buddy 35 vanguard my motor starts fine but then when I give it any throttle it bogs and dies. When it dies it will normally not restart for at least an hour any ideas??

Also forgot to mention when I pump the primer ball its hard but no fuel goes into the filter. Than if I take the fuel line off and pump the ball there plenty of gas.

Had the same problem with the last outboard I had buy some SeaFoam(gas additive) and a new line for between the bulb and the filter and the filter and the engine.. Should do the trick!

^^^^^do this, it should fix your problem, make sure no lines are kinked

That's usually because of the crappy ethanol gas we have to buy now that's eating away fuel lines from the inside-out. If you can find a station that still sells non-ethanol, buy your boat gas there. If you can't, make sure you're running marine Stabil or something equivilant to it in EVERY tank.

Thanks for the help guys. I don't run ethanol gas and I do use seafoam in everytank. Went back outside 10 minutes ago and the fuel filtert filled with gas and motor fired right up. Another dumbass question here can high temp and humidity cause a vapor lock?

Personally, never have experienced it, nor heard of anyone else.

Something stupid to check is the vent on the tank. If mine is closed it doesn't run long
