 Just a question I just got a carb and exhaust on my motor and I was wondering it will be ok like that or do I need to do something else like heads? And what RPM's should it run. I toke it out yesterday an I was hitting 30mph at 4200 RPM's it hits the rev limiter at around 4600 RPM's is that safe I'm not trying to blow it up or mess it up in any way.

Re: Just a question Not that it helps you much, but I have a 15 x 44 with a GDSD 35 and I run 4100 rpm WOT in the water at 28 mph. I used to get almost 30 mph at 3900 rpm, but I've got a little prop wear now.

Just a question Yea my people is really wore out and the trim wasn't working yesterday so I figure it will do a Lil better and I didn't have it full throttle due to the trim

Just a question Should I take it to someone to do that or can an average Joe do it an how big of a shim?

Just a question Change the rev limiter chip to a 4350.
