 Godevil clutch
How hard do ya think it would be to add a clutch to a 27gdsd? Just wondering what factors would have to be considered to make it work. A local guy said he could do it and it got me thinking. I like the devil but neutral would be nice.

 Re: Godevil clutch
Med,,, If you do that, then you will be putting a moving part which could possibly break, and or bring the GDSD into the 20th Century. Not sure if there are any legal issues with you performing such a modification.

 Re: Godevil clutch
I'm not on that wagon. I will admit that I went with gd because it is a much simpler design. The mb i previously had was my first sd and a piece of shit...although I replaced most everything besides the powerhead so it was nice when I sold it. That made me a little gunshy. Neutral would really be nice though. If not possible its no biggie. It wad just a thought.

 Re: Godevil clutch
It won't be hard, the only problem I see is having to modify the top of ya belt housing for the clutch.
Do it!

 Re: Godevil clutch
Getting a clutch to fit into the box shouldnt be that big of a deal, but go devil uses a wider belt than Gator Tail and Mudbuddy, so you couldnt just buy a clutch from either of them. So attaching the (wider) go devil pulley to the clutch is about the only obstacle that I see.

 Godevil clutch
When I go duck hunting I don't always need reverse or trim, but when I do use it I don't regret not buying a glorified longtail.
