upgrading my 27 horse kawasaki mud buddy LT
I was curious and new to the forum but did try a search on this topic. Is it possible to put a new larger engine in place of the current 27 kawasaki that I currently have. I have recently replaced the entire outdrive all the way to the prop nut. If it is, how large can I go? What is the best route to go, manufacturer wise, for ease of swap? Any other pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, and cant believe I havent found this site earlier.

It can be done, match PTO height and crank size, drill new holes for the base, bolt it up and be done.
Can you handle that?

yeah, thanks for the reply. sounds easy enough. I guess I was more curious if the current outdrive is strong enough to handle the extra torque of a larger engine, say a 35 or even larger.
