What would cause the spark plug gap on a stock 35 vanguard to continously close? It only happens on one cylinder and closes completely. |

Wouldn't the valve have to be broken since the plug and valve are next to one another on the head? Could detonation cause the plug gap to close? Best bet is to pull the head and check it out though to see if something is loose in the cylinder. |

Thanks for all the input guys. He's gonna bring the motor to someone close to him to have it checked out. I'll let you guys know what turns up. |
