 valve noise how much valve noise are you guys hearing out of your engine?

Re: valve noise More than likely you are hearing you rocker arms, it coulb be time for an adjustment, but they are pretty loud with stock rockers.

valve noise My valves were pretty noisy. My starboard cylinder was about .012 on the exhaust and .015 on the intake. Port was close to .009. I got them all set to .005 and the valvetrain noise is less evident. If thy are loud adjust them.

Re: valve noise Thanks guys. I just installed a new cam and they were adjusted at .05 but they couldve loosened up. Its not terrible and that motor runs great but Ill recheck them. PS I meant rocker noise not valve. It was early when I posted that! hahaha

Re: valve noise the only time i could really distinguish a loud valve tapping from the 35GDSD at work was right before it dropped into the cylinder. Talk about mess a head up.
