Guys, I'm looking at a 2006 31HP HyperSport and it is a tall transom, but I need a short. Can you convert this and any idea on what it would cost to convert to a short? Anybody out there have the parts laying around or want to swap? Just checking before I make a decision.

Also, it has a clutch and trim if that makes any difference.

It's not a difficult job, but the parts are kinda costly new. You should also check in the classifieds on here. Guys are usually going from a short to a tall, so I'm willing to bet someone has em laying around somewhere.

Before you do all this, please save some headache down the road and build the hull up to a tall transom.

If its done right it you will be 10x happier and prolly come out a lil cheaper.

I think my hull may have been a tall, it's been cut down and measures 16 or 17" currently. I think I could build it back up to 19-20" easily. What is the recommended transom height for a tall?
