I have a 16ft riveted alumacraft flat bottom. 16/20 transome and 48in chine.

wondering wat motor i should run.. kinda want a 35hp pro drive.

do i need a different boat... found a grizzly tracker and a waco tht look nice.. wat would be the best

I run a 15x50 alweld with a 27 gdsd. I get 25-27 by myself, and with me (210) my buddy (180) and my dog (85) I was running 23-24 and touched 26 in the shallows the other day. However if you're wanting to go the prodrive route, then buy a prodrive boat. Mud motors run the best with the boat that goes with them. Do your research on some of the posts on here. But if you're wanting to stick with your boat, you could probably run whatever motor you wanted, you just wouldnt get the optimum results. Just my .02 though.

U can put a 36 PD on it wif no problem. I have a 36 on a 15 footer. It should fly on that lite boat. U will have transom issues over time, but u will b able 2 c wut kind of boat u really want that engine on. I am about to get a 18x 54" hull built, but I went wif wut I had to start.
