Other than the obvious durability factor of stainless, what improvement will an aftermarket exhaust provide my 35GTR? I have seen a few different systems mentioned on this forum, does any one exhaust stand above the rest? I love my motor, and am pleased with it's performance, but after hearing a few of you guys motors run in the videos, my stock motor sounds like a wuss!! Any advice will be considered appreciated? Thanks! ![]() P.S. Dog Walker, I heard your motor on your video, it sounds sweet!! |

Stock exhaust have baffles in them to muffle the sound of your engine therefore restricting the flow of exhaust gasses out of the engine. When you replace the stock exhaust with a aftermarket exhaust, you are allowing the exhaust gasses to escape more freely which in turn creates more horsepower. What you are basically doing is allowing your engine to breath easier and at the same time giving it a cool dragster type sound. If you are running a Gator Tail engine it is best to use a exhaust from EVT because other designs have caused problems with the melting of clutch covers. Make sure you specify when ordering that you want an exhaust with NO baffles. They also come with a lifetime warranty. |
