Just mounted my new used pro drive 36, didn't get a manual. Gonna order one, but does anybody know off hand the capacity and recommended oil weight? Thanks much.....

If you want to swirl wine and stay in a room where politics and investment diversity are discussed (with no roaches) lake lanier is near Atlanta. If you wanna have an awesome time and maybe stay in a room where children were conceived on one side and someone got stabbed over an 8-ball on the other come on down I got a can of raid. :D

Briggs reccomends Straight 30 wieght. I personally run 15w40 Diesel oil since it had better ZDDP additives for valvetrain life with solid lifters these engines have. Any tyipical Multi wieght oil with 30wt in it will suffice. Im pretty sure the capacity is 2 Quarts for the big blocks.

Briggs recomends using synthetic 5w-30, because it can be used in a broader range of climate, however you can use straight 30 wieght or 10w-30 too.

The engine techincally holds 80 oz. However they are test run at the factory before they leave and about 16-20oz gets trapped inside the motor (in the oil cooler, on top of the heads, etc) so on an initial fill, or for oil changes you will hardly ever put more than 2 qt in the engine to fill it.

And here is a link to the Briggs owners manual. http://bsvanguard.basco.com/BriggsDocum ... 0HsjhJvcv4
