 which surface drive motor
Looking at getting a surface drive motor, seriously looking at a pro drive because of it being gear driven, but after looking at the website and the automatic reverse they mention about if you bust a hydrolic line. What are your guys thoughts, it would be for a gator trax 3 man gator hide boat with the hunt deck on it. . Any info would be great! or if you think a longtail motor would be better.
Any thoughts,
Thanks, Tanner Wildes

 Re: which surface drive motor
The hide is a heavy rig --- seen revues that favored the MB 45 due to the extra HP --- try searching a bit in revues section

 Re: which surface drive motor
MB 45 mag , MB hd5000, MB hd6000, or MB hd7000 would probably do best for pushing loads

HD5500 will be the most power out of the hole and to get you on place quick. I would at least go with a 45 Mag because you can build upon that.
