I am looking for someone to tell me the pro's and con's of the different types of mud motors. I like the PD with the full power reverse.. I like the way a GT digs down deep to get you out of that oatmeal mud. Im mainly goin to use it in toledo bend dam, LA (little bit of mud not to bad) and some in a bunch of tight flooded timber, and a little bit in the marsh down round lake charles. Its goin to go on a 17 or 18 ft Uncle J's custom boat. I appreciate any help yall can give me! id appreciate it if yall dont turn this into one of them bashin posts, i just want hard facts! |

I ran around up at the lakes this year and the pd ran it well. A few stumps knocked the tiller out of my hand and reverse was used a lot....just be careful not to hit stumps backing up. You stop fast and hard even going slow. |
