I'm looking to purchase a SD mud motor in the 18 to 23 hp range in the near future.Any input on the performance & durability of the Briggs vs the Honda. Thanks |

Briggs. Both are good engines but the honda is heavier and parts are more expensive. |

x2 on that. you can find more stock and aftermarket parts for briggs, plus briggs will help on the phone. a honda rep will send you to the nearest dealer. parts are def cheaper than the other of the top three. |

i agree if you want to mod the motor. if left stock that mite be a hard one. hondas are good motors. |

No complaints with either of the hondas I've owned. They may be harder to get parts for, but I believe it is a better built engine. |
