Hey I'm new to the mud motor world, well kinda I have owned a 16hp beavertail longtail for quite some time, but I don't hardly count that. Anyway I'm looking to buy an HD lite Mudbuddy with a 27 hp Kohler (due to the disappointing performance of the 16) I don't see alot of performance parts on the mudbuddy website so I was wondering if any of y'all fine folks could point me in the direction (if there is one) of some. And for those who may say "Just go with the 35" to the best of my knowledge they don't make that in the 165# model. I am runnin a 1448 so I need as little weight back there as possible.

not many parts for the kohler. I just sold a PD with a 27 kohler. I had a fab buddy make an exhaust for me, worked real well and def. added a little power. Also, Julian at midwest supercub is the man when it comes to kohler engines. With his help and guidance, I was gonna buy a set of 18 hp heads (high compression) and get midwest to deck, port, and polish them for me. But I sold the motor with all the parts to Podcast (member on here) and he's planning on doing that now. Midwest also has cams for the motors and can point you in the right direction on the kohlers.
