Just bought a PD36 with 63 hours. Want to upgrade carb and exhaust. Just wondering what a fair price would be to sell my stock stuff. Did a quick search online but didnt find any prices to compare to. I figured you guys would know the goin rate. I dont wanna get raped on the deal so no BS. Thanks

Not much... 75 bucks or so for the carb and the exhaust isn't good for much except a paperweight. You could try to sell the carb. If you can find someone that has a 32, it would be a good cheap upgrade for them. The exhaust, I'd just throw in a box and hold on to it. If you use your motor much, you will eventually have to weld on pretty much any of the aftermarket exhausts at some point and time. Nice to have a spare to throw on in case you don't have time to wait on a repair. JMO

Or hang on to that stock pipe. Your gonna need it when what ever brand stainless you buy cracks and you have to pull it off for repair. Bank on that.

 Looks like the price of used 36 carbs has gone up. Supply and demand!

If you really feel like you want or need to unload it go ahead.

I did heads, carb, and exhaust and put all the stock parts in a box and stashed it away just in case. Some of the guys that commented already had to send off their exhaust to get worked on and went back to the stock parts to get them thru the waiting period until it came back.

THink about it. You will be at the mercy of waiting on your parts to come back. That could be the difference for a weekend of fishing, frogging, or primetime duck season........or whatever it is you would like to do.

For me the small change is not worth the trade off of missing out on the above, even for just a day.

Well I can fix any aftermarket muffler that breaks. I can weld SS. But I will probably keep them if they are not worth a couple hundred dollars. I just figured if I could get a few hundred I could put that towards the new parts. But I will hold on to them I guess.
