I have been using that exact grease for about the least 150 hrs or so without issues. I'm no mechanic by any means but I don't baby my motor and that grease does just fine, every 15-25 hrs I pump fresh grease in and the old grease is not all broken down.

Any good marine grade water resistant grease is going to be fine.

Pumped in new grease in my shaft yesterday. Old stuff came out pretty white and runny like it had air in it or maybe it was water, couldn't tell. My prop would spin at neutral idle considerably fast. Once I pumped out the old stuff and replaced with the new, prop hardly spins in neutral. Don't remember how much its was but I bought it at Homedepot.

I use the Lucas #2 Red-n-Tacky on my longtail. It's water resistant and runs about $4.50 a tube at Home Depot, also.
