Saturday, was out playing in some shallow flats near the house, and suddenly lost power. after seeing i was blowing raw fuel out of the carb intake, i checked my valve train and discovered i had thrown a pushrod (same one i threw late last year in alabama). upon further investigation, i noticed the probable reason for this was the pivot bolt holding the rocker in had become loose. i reinstalled on the water, set the lash, and promptly threw it again, though i feel the reason for the second time was due to the fact i did not have a shaved socket to re-torque the bolt. I plan on using loctite when i re-install the rocker and set the lash; would this be ok?

I ran a tap down a little farther than what the factory cuts and used socket head cap screws w/ loctite. You'd think a company that brags about their R&D would supply a decent pivot bolt that wouldn't require the customer to go and purchase a thinwall socket or grind one down.
