Took the boat out today and had a little issue and need some help. It would idle just fine but if I jumped on it hard it would want to die. I had to ease into the throttle. Once I was up and running it ran great. I slowed down to a low idle and the engine dies. In order for me to start it I had to choke it a little. What do you guys think fuel filter or gunked carb??? I just bought the motor and it runs like a dream out of water and this was my first day on the water w it. I also put brand new gas in it. Thanks

What is your idle set at. Set it around 1200

It is set at about 1100. I'm a little green how do I adjust idle?

Sounds like trash in the carb

Need to take the carb apart and clean jets and emulsion tubes. If you or the preveous owner ran ethenol fuel there will be a gel like substance left behind. Check both plugs, most of the time one will be leaner than the other. Thats a good indicator that its trash in the carb.
