any suggestions on fluids/ liquids that I could add to the gas to try and clean out the carb with out taking the carb off to clean?

You can try Sea-Foam or any of the commercial additives.

But odds are if it is gummed up it is going to stay that way.


can you get it to run at all or I guess I should say what exactly is it doing?

She will run but, when I am in the water and put her in gear she trys to die. I have to rev up the rpms a little to get her to not die.

What is your idle RPMs? Maybe turning it up a little might help.

I think the ethanol is the culprit. Pulled the carb off of a lawn mower the other day and it was all funked up. Brake cleaner barely touched the stuff.

Buddy of mine said that Chevron (I think) is the only one that does not add ethanol to their gas. Suggested buying all small engine gas from them to avoid the problems associated with gummed up carbs.
