Post Gtr trim.
The trim on my motor has been intermittent. If you hit the trim switch you can hear the pump run but nothin happens. Sometimes hitting the switch doesn't even do anything though which makes me think it is electrical. The part that stumps me is the pump running but no motion. I would think if there was no fluid it would not sit in the trimmed up position either. Motor has 80 hours on it.

Check the fluid level. What year is it? Mine is a 2008 and those relays give me hell all the time.

if you got that trim motor ram stuck for w/e reason it will do this also. There is a Emergency Relief valve on this trim units, you can empty all the fluid out of the trim unit off the boat, turn it upside to every drop of fluid comes out and then take that valve screw off and more fluid will come pouring out.

The reason im telling you this is my trim unit would get stuck and not move either but make the noise as if it is, i would have to relieve the fluid from the emergency relief then manually run the rod back into the motor, refill via proper steps then reinstall the unit back up and down the motor will go.

As far as electrical goes there is way to many connections that could fail especially if you have everything under the original cover. if you can visually find anything you can unscrew the cap on the trim motor and start checking all the connections internally on the electrical motor. If your pretty good at tinkering with stuff you should be fine to do it yourself.

here is a link from CMC click on the blue lettering of the model trim you have equipped for a basic layout

Jake you were right it was the relays. Now I have a shaft seal leak and seems like the gear motor seals have a leak cause I opened up the unit and the motor was flooded with oil.

Yeah I just sent it off to them and Hoyt with gt said he would repair for free minus freight. As for the relays, I just replaced them and packed em full of grease
