I would definitly chip that welding slag out, make sure you buff down the flange face to as flat as you can get it, try it and if it leaks you can double up on the gaskets (which usually most of the time fixes the leak) or you can buff on it somemore |

The bad part about this thing is that there could be a lot of people running around with one just like this. This is my muffler that Gator Tail took off of my new engine from B&S when they installed the MM muffler. This muffler has zero time on it. Can only wonder how much stuff is falling in the new engines because B&S is sending this out. BTW: This is a B&S problem and not Gator Tail. |

This should be an eye opener for alot of people. This should be Like in a B & S warning page or something. We need a topic for B&S, (What to look for when buying stock motors). |
