i did a search and came up with a Mikuni Flat Slide TM Series 4-Stroke Carburetor - 33mm TM33-8012 i dont know too much about this stuff so i just want to make sure im getting the correct one...is there a kit too, or is this all i need? i found one for 210 bucks on amazon...pardon my dumbassness ![]() http://www.amazon.com/Mikuni-Slide-Seri ... You'll need the intake for the 30hp kohler (and should port and semi-Polish, you want the bridge ground down to a knife point), an intake adapter, air filter, and throttle cable. Evt used to sell the kits and it is not much cheaper to put together yourself. Try giving them a call. |

You will also have to figure out a way to lock out the governor or tear the motor down and remove the governor shaft and gear. As far as I know they don't offer a Rev limiter that works with the coils on the kohler (that could be false, but I was not offered one and could not find one). |

Probably because the adapter sits directly over it and it would cause quite a dead spot. Lots of guys did this with the Briggs intakes also. |

Cool. Just asking because there is a huge dead spot on the Briggs mikuni adapter also and was thinking that it caused some flow issues that could be transitioned quite a bit. |
