Post subject:  Mikuni Problems

I have a 35GDSD and I just installed a marsh mellow X exhaust and a single 45mm mikuni, and I'm having a little trouble with it. When I'm at idle in the water and I give it full throttle it will spit and sputter and will shut off. But if I give it about half throttle and wait until the boat gets on plane and then give it full throttle it runs fine. My mechanic said that we might need to rejet the carb. What is the difference between a 42 and a 45mm mikuni. BPS sells the 42mm now, and Andy aka the BoatDr says the 42mm is a little bit better. I just wanted to get some more info from you guys and see what everyone thinks I should do. Thanks

Did you get that accelerator pump working?

If so, what was clogged?
