Opened up the carb like never before!!! I was haulin arse with a passenger. If you were on Henderson swamp today you heard me...everywhere ......this puppy is loud. The ducks flush farther away than before. It sounds like a Harley. Idles very smoothly. Had a few "WTF was that" looks.

No gasket leaks yet.

Are you excited that the ducks flew further away than normal? Doesn't seem like that is a good deal.

If they want to be in the hole they will come back.

What I noticed late in the season was that when we went into a hole with a MM we would jump up 100's of ducks that did NOT come back to that spot that day.
When we paddled into the same spot and jumped up 100's of ducks they would return within the hour.

Ducks seem to be real sharp about knowing that all that noise means they gonna get their arses shot off if they go back to that place anytime soon, at least late in the season.

The plastic gear cover didn't even get warm!!! The exit angle of the exhaust pipe on a 23 is such that it clears the cover altogether!

Noise: haven't tried the optional baffle yet. I'm wondering if there's a performance hit with it inserted?

A friend had one on a 23 and it wasn't much worse than stock with the baffle and had a deeper tone

I zipped by a house trailer/camp in butte larose Sunday, and someone blew a very loud compressed air horn which startled me enough that I stopped immediately and looked behind only to see an old lady sitting on her porch with the air horn in one hand ready to give me another blast and her other hand flicking me off. I returned the gesture and moved on. I respected every no wake zone, fisherman and boat dock along the way. Her frontage had none of that. but she must have been just generally pissed off at the noise. But all the captains at Magee's boat landing liked my new pipes. They all looked like Harley fans.
