Post Round 2 with Pro Drive
Finally got my engine up and running after rebuilding the carb. I was out running it a couple days ago and after about 5-7 minutes of running around 3900 RPM it would surge. The rpms would drop down to 3400 and surge between that and 3600. I reached down and pumped the bulb and it would go back to running properly. The bulb was about 1/2 to 3/4 full. Is this the indication that the fuel pump is starting to go out? Thanks Owen

Sounds like u have a leak in your fuel line. But it also could be the fuel pump.

Do you have quick connects on the fuel line?

Could be vapor lock, leak in the fuel line, or a faulty fuel pump.

thanks for the input. I have a 2007 prodrive. Not 100% if it is CDI. I checked the fuel line and and the bulb, can't find a hole or leak in the fuel line. I guess I might replace the fuel pump. Should the bulb be full of fuel and all times?

Those cam driven fuel pumps suck. Do a search on here and look into puttin in an additional fuel pump, or call prodrive and ask what they recommend for a fuel pump.
