Haven't done my motor but I know several people that were really pleased w/ Cody's head work. Just give this a few minutes you will get some more answers. |

Mine are done by Cody as well as several others in our area and on this site. He does some nice work. Really pays atttention to detail. Always makes sure they are 100% before they go out! |

Port work is the main difference. The way he cuts his valves, depending on what engine mods you have determines what he does to your heads. Believe it or not there are different ways you can set up your heads. Do you have a performance Muffler, if your going to be flowing more air you'll need a better way for it to get out. More air, more exhaust, the better your engine will run and perform |

Put it this way. I bought IM heads and had Cody redo mine. |

Post subject: | Re: Setx perfomance heads |
From what I understand, IM heads are built on the same specs and each one is the same, basically an "off the shelf" aftermarket head. Someone fill free to correct me if I'm wrong on that. SETX heads are "custom" built specifically for your set up to get the most out of it. If you're only moderatly building your motor, the IM heads may move too much air for your engine to perform at it's best. A certain air volume at the correct velocity is what you want for peak performance along with a good set up on the valves. This is where the "custom" heads shine. |

Just give Cody a call. I seem to remember him telling me he does all his heads the same no matter what other work is being done. Either way, he can explain what he does better than a bunch of folks that drop their motors off there for him to work on. |

to the prostaffers. can u please explain by cutting ur valves not grinding. can unleash the power that u take about. i thought the power gain would be in the i think its called the combustion chamber. i like the op want to know. i don't know that much about these heads. but is there enough seat surface to do more than a three angle job. ? i would think that after prolonged hrs of use. a 4 or 5 angle valve job would fail. ? just how much material do u take out of the head u know the combustion chamber. can u take to much out or not.? i've heard that a flow bench is needed to aid in the job. i see u port the upper intake do u do anything to the lower intake.? what do they mean by decking a head. ? will that give me even more power. will a cam profile-deck height-compression ratio-exhaust come into play or not. i anxiously await for ur help. thanks. |

and out from under the desk cums the midget and his tag along. with bibs on and juice dripping from the chin. epic fail on a 3 verses 5 angle valve job. u doing a 5 angle on the intake.? these chambers will only flow so much. but u would have no freaking idea with out a bench. how do u have a reference point with out one. how far is to far. again a epic fail. a man doing porting work with out a flow bench is a man that is hoping for the best. hey but good luck. i'll keep my roosters. sounds like u have a fetish with farm animals. |

douchebag disease - To cure douchebag-iness, apply fist to face of douchebag every once in a while (usually when he tries to act out). After a while it may or may not disappear. If symptoms continue, resort to more violent and dramatic measures. ![]() |

"Never knew i could stur up so much shit but cody i will be giving u a call to ask my list of questions" Well when you make a thread asking about headwork then start telling someone who's done alot of peoples motor work that they don't know what they're talking about your gonna ruffle some feathers just fyi |

Technically the "sky" is colorless, it only appears blue because atmospheric gases and dust particles reflect the blue wavelength of light... ![]() ![]() |
