I can't tell if it's from my new belt or my transmission or clutch but there's a kinda grinding sound. Sounds like something with the pulleys but no clue. Havent run it in 2 weeks so idk I'm I'm just hearing something. Any suggestions this? its a 35 GTR |

check and see if your prop is tight! Just did this to mine yesterday, sounds like its coming from the lower unit, but it was just the prop |

If hasn't been run in a while, could just be surface rust between clutch & clutch plate. |

Props tight it seems to be coming from the upper pulley or somewhere around there. I mean it's in garage storage |

Does this mean you aren't going to the lake tomorrow? I know nothing about a GTR but from bike experience, can the belt be too tight? |

Make sure brake pads are not rubbing first. Sounds like either that or the bearings in your clutch. With the engine off and in neutral, turn the prop by hand and see if you can pinpoint where the noise is coming from. |

Bleed your brake calipers, if you have air in your brake lines it could cause the piston to not retract and grind/rub. Either way, the grinding cant be good, whether it is from your brakes or elsewhere on your lower unit! Warranty still good? |

Sounds like bearings in the clutch. All fluids good just change oil in tranny and breaks good too |
