i was thinking about getting a 6.5 hp go devil for crawfishing in 6 inches to 1ft of water. i was thinking about putting it on a 12' boat. i weight about 120 lbs and was trying to see if the 6.5 would push throught shallow water ![]() |

That was my first mud motor, it got the job done but the motor itself is very heavy and slow, my advise is buy a copperhead or Dixie. |

longtails are knon for going shallow, however copperhead sd will go very shallow also my rig plained out over 10 inches of water with me(240 ibs) and my cousin(210 ibs) with 2 dozen dekes and the rest of our gear and i could idle in 10 inches of water by myself in the summer |
