 Flexible Exhaust Pipe? For generator
I have a 5500 watt Honda generator in the boat for bowfishing, Was wondering if you can put a flexible exhaust on that and run it out towards the water? I see place like Napa and Oreiley sell the stuff just wondering if it would work

It works and I do it on my surface drive.....makes a huge difference. Make sure to drill a few small holes in the pipe that way, it can't suck water into the engine if something goes wrong.

Re: Flexible Exhaust Pipe? For generator
I've read that you can even put a small muffler on the end of the tube to quiet it down some. Probably not an issue if you're putting the end in the water, but for use on land, maybe.

Re: Flexible Exhaust Pipe? For generator
Hehe. Just noticed you said HONDA generator-sound probably not issue Those things are amazingly quiet (as I'm sure you know!) Oh well, in case anyone reading this thread has a loud generator... http://soundproofing.org/infopages/generator.htmOh, this one has some pictures and instructions by a guy that ran a pipe/flexible tube from his generator. Might have some useful tips. By the way, I'm really bored, obviously!

Re: Flexible Exhaust Pipe? For generator
The larger Hondas are not nearly as quiet as like the suitcase style 2000 watt ones, This big bitch is actually kinda loud. Thanks for the replies.
