My buddy's looking at getting this motor. The guy says its a 23 kohler my buddy called pd and they told him they only made 2 23hp pd. Don't know how true that is figured u guys might know, I told my buddy someone may have just done a motor swap on it at some point if that's the case is there anything or anywhere in particular we should look or check to make sure the motor swap was done correct if that's what has happened.thanks for any help

get the ser. # , its stamped on the frame. Call KP or Peck and they can tell you exactly what the deal on the motor is if it is indeed a factory build. As far as a swap goes, it is pretty easy to swap the power head, shouldn't be much to look for.
