picked this up today. i need to broach out a new coupler for the prop nut. this dyno is portable can be taken to any where there is water. could be fun at one of the mud motor runs. ck your hp at the prop. talked to one of the designers and it can be used on a 2 cylinder engine. click on photos to enlarge them.photo.JPG

vertical it was a engine builder slash prop builders prop dyno. he used to race the 150 hp outboard class. he used it mostly to see the differences in the prop pitches that he would experiment with. hes retiring and moving away. and he gave it to me . ive got to make up a new prop nut coupler. and make a small change on the cavitation plate mount. i've been told by others that they give a knats ass hp reading.i think it will be fun.

I think Andy is tryin to sell you a automatic cow milker..

Used one similar to that when I worked in the marine industry years ago. I don't remember it needing any water. It had its own oil resvoir for the pump that went over the prop shaft. Andy, do you still use that thing? Have you ever used it on a mud buddy?

i'am also curious andy if u have tried it. this one has a what looks like a hose connection for water that goes on the hydro motor. is that needed to cool the hydro motor. ?. does it give a good accurate reading in your opionion. ?
