 Re: RPMs FOR PRODRIVE 36
If the motor is stock those are good rpms.
with tiller time, you will be able to "feel" when the motor is trimmed properly and is running its best.

 RPMs FOR PRODRIVE 36
I turn 3950-4030 depending on load and placement of load.

 Re: RPMs FOR PRODRIVE 36
By stating "set" the rpm, I assume you mean out of the water with no load. If that's the case, you should be at 4250. If you are turning 4000 in the water and have played with the trim and this is as fast as you can go then you are good, you can't "set" that other than knowing the trim hieght. Mine turned 4190 in the water on a 17x54 with a new prop and light load. I'm not sure of the difference in weight or design of your boat to compared to mine but it doesn't take much at all to loose a couple hundred rpm on the stock motor around the 4000 range.

 Re: RPMs FOR PRODRIVE 36
I thought that was you. If both of you were in it and it turning 4070, I say that's about as good as you're going to get it. Did you have a gps to see what speed you were running?
