 Metal shavings in oil
Here's the deal guys.
I'm new to owning mud motors...I've got a 35hp GDSD 2009
Went to perform an oil change, as per the schedule.
When I drained the oil there was, what I think to be, a considerable amount of metal shavings in the bottom of my bucket.
This motor has not been beat by me or the previous owner and only had 75 hrs on it when I got it this spring...this is my first scheduled oil change on it under my ownership. The service record looks good. The oil being run is 5w 30 synthetic.
Here is a photo of the shavings. I know it looks like dirt but it was all pulled out of the bucket with a magnet.

Also, where can I get a briggs oil drain plug with a magnet in it??? The current plug doesn't have one. 35hp briggs vanguard.
Any help or insight is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Teal
