 Speed Question....
Ran my new boat last night, an Excel F4, 17x54, with MudBuddy black death 4200, (which is a 35 CDI with exhaust and carb)
I was able to hit 26.5 - 27 with just me and the dog. I'm still not sure I have it trimmed right. This is my first SD and I'm green.
The water wasn't glass, but pretty smooth.
I thought I would get more mph, is this a good speed for my rig?

 Re: Speed Question....
What are your rpm's?
Those are not terrible speeds, but def sound a tad low for having an exhaust and carb. May have a case of briggs shitty valve seat syndrome. Should have spent the extra few bucks on the heads.

 Re: Speed Question....
Not sure what the gearing is on that rig but if its 38/50 it might run about that with a cdi motor. Is it hitting 4300? If it is your on track

 Re: Speed Question....
It seems about right considering the hull it's on.
