 36PD PART??
WHAT IS THE SILVER BLOCK WITH A 7/16THS BOLT GOING THROUGH IT RIGHT UNDER THE FUEL PUMP ON THE BACK OF MY PD. I ASK BECAUSE I HAD THE SLIGHTEST LITTLE DROP OF OIL COMING FROM THAT BLOCK BUT I DID HAVE MY MOTOR STORED TILTED DOWN SOME. JUST WONDERING WHAT IT IS. MINE HAS A LITTLE SLACK IN IT. ANY INFO WOULD BE APPRECIATED THANKS

That sounds like the governor lock. i assume you have mikuni carb, that eliminates the linkage that went to your factory carb.

YES SIR I SURE DO. THAT WOULD MAKE SENSE LOOKS TO BE SOMETHING LIKE THAT. I DONT KNOW WHY IT HAS A SMALL AMOUNT OF OIL COMING FROM THERE.BUT LIKE I SAID I STORE MY MOTOR TILTED DOWN SOME.SO ALL OF THAT OIL IS SITTING IN THE BACK. PROLLY WOULDNT LEAK IF IT WAS LEVEL MAYBE. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

oil doesnt just sit there, but when the motor is running it gets slung all around. im sure theres some sort of oring around the shaft, but you may have to open the crank case to get to it. If you ever have to open the case, just remove it and replace it with a bolt and nut. in the meantime, try some silicone around the shaft.

Seal is easy to replace. Remove gov block & 2 E-clips from shaft. Pull out old seal, slide on new seal, put all back together
