 Bogging down in open water
Hey guys Ive got a 36pd with about 27 hours on it and I had it out the other day playing around. I was playing around in some mud and it's was running great. I decided to go to a different spot and as I was running down the river in open water my motor would bog down and die while I still had the throttle wide open. I was running about 3900rpms and it just bogged down n died. It started right back up so I'm confused. It did it two or three times before I decided to load it up. Just wondering if any of you have experienced this? What was your solution?

Re: Bogging down in open water
Sounds like it may be a fuel deilivery issue, how hard did you play in the mud? Did you give it full throttle and hold it for more than a few minutes in the mud?

Re: Bogging down in open water
Check your gas fittings and connections, maybe getting air in the line somewhere but if you were in full throttle for about the same time in the mud it should have done it then also.

Re: Bogging down in open water
where is your gas tank located? Do you have a fuel pump in line? Mine was doing the same thing prior to adding a pump, but it mostly did with some chop on the water causing vapor lock...and yes it started right up after it died.

Re: Bogging down in open water
Was the water choppy? Did you get any spray blown back on you or more importantly the motor? If so your plug wires may be grounding out around the plug-wire boot. Easy diagnostic & fix if that's the problem.
