My 36hp stock pd was running 28.6 mph solo. And 25-26 with me and two guys no gear. Now I took out my boat this morning and with two 130 pound people and me I was only running 19-20. Less Rpms and slower getting up on plane. Fuel bubble firm. Oil was a Lil low. But bad performance. Was wondering what I should start checking first. Maybe compression? What is stock compression on these motors? Or where else should I start? My motor is a 2009 with 137 hours. Thanks |

How long had it been sitting up? Gas breaking down can partially block jets in the carb. Low speed jet can be ok but high speed could be partially stopped up. Are all your fuel connections tight? |

If it has stock valves, then there may be a problem there. Stock valves are good for doing that, it happened to me. They get stuck or don't seat well, get rid of them. |
