 Honda gx 390
In the final stages of debugging my Honda Gx 390.
It kept turning off during acceleration and I thought it had to do with prop pitch when in fact it was the oil sensor on the side of the motor. It’s actually redundant because you have a measuring stick 2” behind it ? I always check my oil manually prior to a trip.
Racing kart sites recommend that you clip the yellow wire (oil sensor). I did it and fixed the problem.
When you add the trimming and temporary affects of sudden acceleration the sensor triggers an immediate shut down as a result of instantaneous perceived low oil condition.
Will keep you posted.
