Post Honda GX 660 smoking
Hi guys I've got a scavenger mud motor with a Honda GX 660 motor on it. I've got the motor on a 14ft v bottom. The motor is a 2010 model and has 19 hrs. on it. I was out on the lake today and was in open water at full throttle and the motor started "bogging down" and would smoke for a few seconds then it would stop for a while then it would happen again... Is this normal for these engines to smoke a little or could it need some attention? Thanks in advance for any and all help!

It is black smoke. It only has 19 hrs on it.. Could a head gasket be messed up already or something big like that?

unfortunatly, it could have 1hr on it and have issues. ya just never know. shit happens. head gasket aint bad to change. check yur valve clearances too while yur at it. black smoke sounds like too much fuel. runnin rich. how long were you runnin it when it started to smoke?

I was running it for about 30 mins before it happened. My choke knob is pushed in so The choke should be off but I will double check and make sure it's working correctly. If the motor is getting to much fuel how can I fix this? And I want to thank all you guys for the help, I really do appreciate it!
