Post subject:  gt trim unit

I took the black cap off the of front the unit an touched two wires straight from a battery to directly to each side of the electric motor an the the hydraulic ram moves in an put but it doesn't work with the cap on. I checked an I have power to the parts in the black cap just not understanding why it won't work any help is appreciated

Im testin it straight from a battery no switch involved

Reset the breaker. If that doesn't fix it, check to make sure you have power to the switch & relays. If you put power straight to the pump & it moved, then the pump should be good.

I just figured it out it took some fine tuning. I took the black cap off were the wires run into the unit and checked to make sure the electric motor still worked an it did I had some corrosion on the wires inside that black cap cleaned em up an it works fine now

get some di electric grease and put it on all the connections. Not the spray kind thou
