Anyone ever had to get their clutch replaced on a prodrive? This motor only has like 200 hours on it only 2 years old and I brought it to the shop b/c when I disengage the clutch the prop still spun slowly til it spun out- rather than a quick stop like it usually does. So the guy at the shop says that it was rusted out, there was too much rust on the clutch so i need a new one. Any thoughts/ideas/experiences of this? |

On my last engine my clutch went out at 125 hours... You are going to play hell getting it off. I would soak the shaft with PB blaster or something to hopefully loosen it up. It is easy to swap out, but getting it off is a biatch! |

does the fly wheel on the clutch look like it wobbles at all? that's a pretty good sign |

you broke the pins that are pressed in to your clutch. it happens from being on and off the momentary button. i guarantee that you have at least 3 broke pins in the band part of your clutch. find a good prodrive repair place and they might give you that piece. |

I use my button all the time. You would have to use it ALOT to hurt anything, maybe. |
