Post subject:  pd clutch "skipping a beat"

I have been reading the other posts about clutch problems on PDs. Mine will momentarily disengage running WOT for a second and then re-engage on its own. I am thinking it could just be the switch but what do y'all think?

Switch, bad connection, low voltage

Could also be a voltage loss somewhere before getting to the clutch. I just went through this last weekend with somebody. He described the symptoms to KP and KP suggested checking for a voltage loss. I metered it and it was 8.5 volts directly at the connectors going into the clutch.
Meter your battery and see what the voltage is. Put a meter on the two connections going to the clutch right where the connector is going to the clutch and see if you have the same voltage. If it's a lot less, you have a bad wire somewhere or corrosion on a connector somewhere.
