Post Carb float adjustment.
I'm needing some input on float adjustment. This is a Kohler 25hp LT.
The service info states that while holding the upper body vertically and needle seated.
The float height should be 22mm. Measured from the casting to the float. Which part of the float? The flat surface by the arms or the pointed area? I had adjusted because it was running lean and cutting out. It ran fine at home. went on a hunt this morning and would die every 100yds. After the hunt I adjusted the float twice. It improved put still haveing problems. With the motor angled back like it is should this be compensted in the 22mm adjustment?

with the float upside down the needle would be seated. i just adjust the float so its at a slight angle up away from the carb. if the carb is on the engine still use slight pressure to seat the needle and adjust the float tab so its at a slight angle down from horizontal. i aint never measured them to spec and this always works for me.
