I am running one of the 16 hp duromax engine on a longtail and have the throttle rigged to the carb to bypass the governor, which is still installed. When running over about 2500 rpms I begin to hear the sound of something metal getting kicked around inside of the engine but have never heard it really below this rpms level. Could this be the governor inside the engine trying to engage? The RPM point makes me think that it could be. Recently changed the oil and had no metal in it. What could it be? How concerned should I be? Thanks |

Do you have something holding the governor in place like the governor block that comes with the mikkunis |

Youll need to turn it were its away from the gear inside there then just get you something to hold it in place to keep it from turning and hitting the gear and/or dropping down in you motor |

Also just cut that rod flush on top of whatever you use to hold it in place |

What direction do I turn it looking from the front? Right, direction it goes or left, where it sits at idle |

Where it sits at idle but if you can turn it a little more that'd be good to |
