 Fuel solenoid on stock carb.
Anyone evey had any issues with this. I think mine is about to go out. Starting to stick. I am running premium fuel but when I acts up, I pull it, push in the plunger, screw it back in, and run the piss out of it.

Re: Fuel solenoid on stock carb.
It doesn't effect anything? Fuel rate? What about the black & white wires to the quick connect?

Re: Fuel solenoid on stock carb.
It is an anti-backfire solenoid. It's just a pluger that cuts off the fuel when the key is off. It is there to help prevent backfirinig when you turn the key off at high rpm's (in other applications...lawnmowers, generators). We throttle our motors down before turning the key off. It is not needed, but can get gummed up and cause problems. Just pull it and put a bolt in it's place. Tie the wires up out of the way or remove them completely if you wish.

Re: Fuel solenoid on stock carb.
I hate those things. I tore my engine apart 2 weeks ago put it back together and it would start. After an hour and 9 beers I realized I didn't plug mine back in.
