This may be a silly question, but adding the oil temp gauge is a great idea. However, what is the ideal operating temp range for the oil in one of these engines? |

I like the gauges offered by this company much better. All the connections and shit that gsu has going on look like a liability to me. Too many places for a leak, too much chance of loosing pressure, and too much shit to get ripped off, IMO. These you can just plug in the oil drain, or I believe the water gauge fitting fits right in to the unused plug on the opposite side of the block from the oil drain and filter. Check them out if you are looking for a gauge. http://www.shindypro.com/catalog/each_q ... key25.html Here is an older thread where they are discussed. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11411 |

I had a thread started about oil temps and another about engine temps when the bps forum was getting started. Haven't been over there in a while, but I'm sure it's still up. Yall may go look at it if you are interested in seeing what everyone had to say. There is a post about a larger oil cooler too, instead of using the transmission cooler over the fan... |
