 Push button Starter I'm running a 35 GDSD and the key is giving me issues and was thinking about taking the screwdriver out of the key switch and adding a push button starter. Have any of boys done this?

Re: Push button Starter I have broken three keys inside my keyway, the last one I just left it in, cause it aint coming out, use a screwdriver to start mine now  thick flooded timber is hell on them keys

Re: Push button Starter I ran a horn button on my Generac for one whole season.
Was too cheap to get KP to send me a new key switch and had the horn button in my tool box.
Ten minutes later, I had a horn button push start.

Re: Push button Starter Yep..I have bent the key several times and broke the plastic top off the oil stick in the timber. That is the problem with my key..bent/broke and it keeps falling out then the screwdriver issue. One would think that the key is in a position not to take that much abuse, but what doesn't get abused on a rig. I'm going to put a rubber covered button on (like the one for glow plugs on a tractor). Thanks.

Re: Push button Starter I no electrical FE but wouldn't you need more than just a single stage push button switch? Like one one that maintains constant power to run the thing and keep the clutch engaged?
